Ackerman Special Election

ACKERMAN, Miss. (WCBI) – There’s one day left to qualify for a special election in Ackerman.

The election will be February 9th at Town Hall.

Ward 1 Alderman John Shumaker resigned after being elected to the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors District 4 seat.

The deadline to qualify is Wednesday at 5 P.M.

If a runoff is needed, it will be February 23rd.

Thus far, only one person has qualified to run.
