Arrest Made in Northside Shooting
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus police make an arrest in a Monday night shooting in the city’s northside.
Police say they’ve arrested Johnny Bonner, Wednesday, and are charging him with five counts of aggravated assault, and one count of possession of a weapon by a felon.
Investigators say they also found a stolen .380 handgun in Bonner’s car. That’s the type of gun used in the shooting.
Police will also charge Bonner with possession of a stolen firearm, and another count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
The shooting happened at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and 18th Avenue on Monday night.
Police say two cars where hit by gunfire.
No one was hurt.
