Columbus Addiction Facility Expands

COLUMBUS, Miss. – (WCBI) A facility designed to help those coping with addiction unveils its newest addition. The Last House on the Block, located off of Highway 50 in Columbus, held an open house this evening to unveil its upgrades.

The sober living house opened three years ago to help men who had nowhere to turn after leaving treatment centers. The community donated both time and money to add on to their existing facility.

“We help them get jobs. We help them get back into society. We bring them in here and love them and let them know there is life after addiction. A lot of our guys are drug addicts and alcoholics, and we just show them how to recover and that we love them and that there is hope for them,” says LHOB President Kevin Styron.

The project totaled $320,000 in costs.
