Video: Columbus Honors Local Veterans

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Veterans are being honored in Columbus.

It was a time of appreciation and thanks for Columbus vets at the Municipal Complex.

A ceremony was held honoring those who fought for our freedoms.

A handful of special World War II veterans were also on hand for the event.

“Veterans Day means we need to slow down and think and be aware of all those who paid the supreme sacrifice, that we have our freedom today,” said local World War II Veteran, Ardie Fuqua.

Veterans and their families also enjoyed lunch after the ceremony.
