Columbus Police Make Arrests In Separate Shootings

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Bond was set Tuesday for a Columbus man arrested in connection with a shooting.

Morris Dyonte Lanier, 30, is charged with aggravated assault.

Investigators say the shooting happened June 17th, near 15th Street and 8th Avenue North.

Bullets hit a vehicle with people inside.

Lanier was arrested this past Friday.

His bond was set at $50,000.

In a separate shooting investigation, Columbus police arrested Brandon Orr, 29, and Tony Martin, 23.

Both are charged in connection with the May 24th shooting of a car that had three people inside.

Martin is charged with three counts of aggravated assault and possession of cocaine. He was also wanted for escaping a department of corrections restitution center.

Orr is charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

His bond will be set Wednesday.
