Video: Cub Scouts Participated In The Pinewood Derby Race

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Boy Cub Scouts showed off their Pinewood derby race cars on Saturday.

Over 70 boys first through fifth graders participated in the Annual PushMataha Area Council Pinewood Derby Saturday at the Columbus Leigh Mall.

Cub Scouts normally held their own derby in the community, but this race featured Cub Scouts from Packs from across ten counties of the PushMataha Area Council competing against each other.

The activity also allowed the Cub Scouts families to work on a project together and the scouts could display their own creativity and to learn to “Do Your Best” the Cub Scout Motto.

Trophies were also awarded after the race and the race was sponsored by Quick Lane of Columbus.
