Elvis Pets Look Like the KIng

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) –One of Elvis biggest ever hits was Hound Dog.

That is why the Elvis Festival attracts so many hounds to the annual Elvis pet-look-a like pet parade and pageant every year.

And a lot of people show up too.

The event raises money for the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society which is trying to raise two and a half million dollars to build a new shelter.

Contestants were judged in four different categories including best costume, which pet looks the most like Elvis and which owner most resembled the king.

There was even a horse entered in the contest.
