New Information Released on Monroe Co. Armed Robbery

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Monroe County deputies say a man arrested Saturday on drug charges could be a suspect in the armed robbery of Hurley’s Used Auto and Salvage.

Surhon Orr was stopped by officers driving a car matching the description of the getaway car used by the two men who held up Hurley’s.

During that stop, officers found felony amounts of crack and powder cocaine.

A second man in the car fled when officers pulled them over.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the investigation into Orr and the second suspect’s connection to the armed robbery continues, but no armed robbery charges have been filed.
