MACON, Miss. Charles Womack’s family wants justice.

Ask any parent you know and they will tell you, there is nothing worse than when something happens to their child.

Carolyn Andrew’s 22-year old son is on life support at the North Mississippi Medical center in Tupelo.

The assault has changed everything.

“The pain I feel is indescribable. It’s just something that I can’t describe to no body. For him to not be able to respond to me talking to him, it feels like somebody put their hand in my heart and pulled my heart our or something,” Womack’s mother Carolyn Andrew said.

Womack’s parents describe their son as a kind person who loves to play basketball.

They said everyone who knows him, respects him; which makes them wonder why someone would harm their son.

“Most everybody says the same thing. The wow, how could this happen. More than just me and the family, outsiders, they wonder the same thing,” Womack’s father Henry Andrew said.

Each day his parents drive 2 hours back and forth to visit their son in ICU. Between gas, and medical bills His mother says its difficult.

“A piece of me has been taken, that’s all I can say. My heart has been ripped out of me, and I don’t know how to get it back unless my son wakes up and he can talk to me and he can hear from me, and can hear me say these words, I Love You,” she said.

Andrew said she is not in a place to where she can forgive the individuals who committed the crime, she just wants justice to be served.

So far 19- year old Jerrico Dooley has been charged with aggravated assault.

Charges against two juveniles are still pending.
