Noxubee Man Killed In Accidental Shooting

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Noxubee County man is dead after a shotgun fired when his ATV flipped.

Kenneth Reed Jr., 20, was riding near the Noxubee River, in the Piney Woods community, when the accidental shooting happened Saturday.

Sheriff Terry Grasseree says the shotgun blast hit Reed in the lower back.

Reed died at a Jackson hospital later in the day. An autopsy is being conducted.

The shooting remains under investigation.
