COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Leaders with Palmer Home for Children are educating the public on what their non-profit organization does.

President Drake Bassett spoke to residents during a luncheon Thursday at Mississippi University for Women.

It’s held twice a year.

Bassett gave the group an update on Palmer Home, which provides residential care for children in need.

“We surely want to provide as many opportunities as we can, both in terms of care, provide a home, but also education, physical, emotional coaching as needed for children to succeed in the future,” Bassett said.

Palmer Home serves about 100 children in Columbus and Hernando.
