OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Power is out in parts of Lowndes & Oktibbeha Counties. This includes the Sessums and Oktoc Communities.

Officials with the Tennessee Valley Authority told us they have to replace a failed pole and hope to have it restored by sunset.

More than 2,100 residents are sitting in the dark. Officials said a transmitter pole failed. Crews are on the scene.

In the meantime, they are trying to switch over as many customers as they can to another substation. They will not be able to switch everyone over given the amount of energy being consumed due to the cold weather.

If you folks think it’s bad now wait until the Obammy admin. and the EPA closes all the coal fired power plants. There will not be enough power to go around so rolling blackouts (kind of like this will be the every day thing) and outright power shortages will be the normal…..can you say third world country……enjoy people and thank your provider Obammy!!!!!
