School District Has New Rule Book
CORINTH, Miss. (AP) – The Corinth School District is combining the rules and regulations of three separate schools into a single student handbook for the coming year.
The school board is sifting through all of the rules to eliminate discrepancies.
Superintendent Lee Childress tells The Daily Corinthian the district is also putting in place a single discipline ladder rather than having a different range of discipline listed under each type of violation.
Childress says other changes will address excuses for absentees. He says schools have difference policies when there should be just one.
Childress says the new handbook will be clearer for students and parents.
