Miss Carole found some hats I made at one of the arts/crafts shows…but they were much too bland for. She said “oh, I just love these but don’t you have something u could put on here to make it look just a bit more pretty. I’ll pay extra for your trouble”. So the next morning I brought in a bag full of left over silk/plastic flowers, scraps of ribbon, etc & was about to get started before time for the show to get underway….up she walked, and excitedly started pulling stuff out of the bag saying, “can u put this on here & a piece of this here, and…” Well, when it was all done we had made the craziest hat I’ve ever seen with different colored ribbon hanging everywhere & flowers stuck in wildly. But SHE LOVED IT!!! Put it on & wore it all day around the sale telling ppl where she got it.
I never was quite sure if it was good advertising or not

I was just in Starkville Tuesday and thought about all the good memories of Carole as I drove past her house and admired all the red bottles she’s put out in recent years. She used to come visit me regularly when I worked at Chi Chi’s on Jackson Street. What a bright soul. She used to come in the store all decked out for whatever it was she was about to head out to and ask me if she looked alright. Always gorgeous inside and out! She made my day every time she came to visit.

I met Ms. Davis at a MSU football game. We sat beside each other one night in the Bulldog Club. She was an instant favorite and so full of life! It was a pleasure to meet her and hear of her world travels and love of painting. And more importantly – her love for Starkville! What a treasure to have met her. My prayers are with the family.

This is such sad news! I used to work at the Starkville Daily News, and Carole would come to visit the news room all the time. I’m so lucky to have known her. She was such a kind and generous and lively person. My thoughts are with Frank and her children and the entire Starkville community.

I had only met Carole a couple of times, but I like from the time I met her, I guess because we had had the same name. My daughter and I were in Stsrkville Tuesday and just talked about her, so sorry to to hear that she had passed away, she was a truly a uniqinue lady. Carole Davis Eubanks, Columbus Mississippi

Carol had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. We became friend about 15 years ago when she walked into my salon and said she was ready for a change. She’s had short hair ever since which fit her personality perfectly. She was a faithful client / friend ever since. Friday mornings at 8:00 will not be the same. She never left me without a hug and an “I love you”. She will be missed my so many. Praying for peace and comfort for Mr. Frank and her children and grand-babies.
