Video: Train and Car Collide in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) A mother and her two children escape their vehicle, before being hit by a train in Monroe County. Monroe deputies say that the collision happened at the railroad crossing, located on Athens Quincy Road outside of Aberdeen just before 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Lorrie Ann Hayes told deputies that she and her two children, ages 12 and seven, bailed out of the car before the train barreled through the front end, destroying most of the vehicle.

Thankfully, no one was injured in this crash.
