“And as aldermen, there is three of us. We assist him so he can do what he needs to do,” said Greggory Stewart/Boys State.

Students of the American Legions’ Boys State are also getting a handle on the electoral process to become future political leaders of the state. A state Governor Phil Bryant thinks is a wonderful state to live and serve.

“These young men can make a huge difference in Mississippi if we can just get them to grow where they are planted,” said Governor Phil Bryant/Mississippi.

“So, I’m now looking at Delta State and seeing if I can look at some of the F-35’s and some of the other things that Mississippi has to offer for aviation,” said Gary Gray/Boys State.

Since 1939, boys like these have been mentored into seasoned leaders, a process the American Legion along with men and women of state and local governmental bodies fully indorse.

Boys State is the nation’s premier program for teaching young men how government works. A number of statewide politicians are expected to join the group this week while on the MSU Campus.
