Music, food and good times filled the air in downtown Tupelo this evening.

The fifth annual “Don’t Be Cruel Barbecue Duel” is being held at Fairpark.

Tonight there was music on the main stage, and behind city hall, the public had a chance to visit with some of the teams.

It’s the main fundraiser for Tupelo’s Link Centre.

Although the competition is only five years old, it has received high marks from contestants and those in the industry.

The Duel cranks back up at 1030 tomorrow morning.

You can buy people’s choice tickets, that allow you to sample five offerings from the teams.

More than $17,000.00  in prize money is up for grabs between the competition teams
