Video: Heavy Rains Lead to Flooding in Union County

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) -Heavy rain caused rising waters in New Albany Friday.

This is what it looked like around noon at King and Main Streets in downtown New Albany.Drivers had to be diverted around flooded roadways.

Nearby, the Tallahatchie River burst its bank, making a number of county roads impassable, and also flooding the park by the river.

Officials say the excessive rainfall caused creeks throughout the county to flood.
