STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Mississippi State students are having their voices heard on the state flag debate.

The MSU Student Association held ‘Letters to the Legislature,’ where students can write their state representatives about the state flag issue.

The SA says they have taken a public stand to have the state flag re-evaluated.

All opinions were welcome and organizers hope they can make a difference.

“We hope that our representatives down in Jackson pay attention, that we are students we know, but we have a voice and we want it to be heard, where we stand on this issue,” said MSU student and organizer, Holly Travis.
This is the first SA letter drive on this hot topic. The letters will be mailed off soon.
