Video: New Albany Improving Access to Hospital

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) -Safety improvements and access to the new emergency room at Baptist Union County Hospital is moving forward.

New Albany and Union County will split the estimated $160,000.00 price tag to replace a dangerous bridge on Oxford Road, near the West Bankhead intersection.

Options have been discussed for months. The bridge is considered dangerous for ambulances and school buses. Meanwhile, Work to widen the the intersection of Coulter and Oxford streets and reduce the sharp angle of the turn should be complete soon.
