MACON, Miss. (WCBI) — A Noxubee County shooting suspect has been moved from the Lowndes County jail to a mental hospital in Meridian. Elizabeth Guyton spent almost two weeks in the Noxubee General Hospital, where she was being treated for a blood clot.

She’s since been taken to the East Mississippi Mental Hospital for a mental testing. Guyton has been housed at the Lowndes County jail since shortly after her October shootout with deputies outside her cabin near Brooksville.

She had been involved in a day-long stand-off with law enforcement, who had come to question her about a nearby shooting.

Guyton faces a long list of criminal charges which will be presented to the March grand jury.
