STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – On Wednesday, Mississippi State celebrated the opening of a new academic service.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to mark the grand opening of the Dr. Randle and Marilyn White Pre-Medicine advising office.

The new advising office will help guide students who are interested in pre-med.

Dr. White is a 1966 pre-med alumnus whose support helped made the new center possible.

“It is a very arduous journey to get into medical school today, and they help to keep these kids on track. They help to demonstrate to them what they need to do,” said Dr. White.

MSU President Dr. Mark Keenum and other leaders also attended the ceremony.
