Video: Stokes – Beard Elementary Students Take a Big Step

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – 5th graders at Stokes Beard are saying farewell to elementary school as they move on to the 6th grade.

A packed crowd of Parents and teachers gathered Monday morning at a Cross-over ceremony.

Our very own Aundrea Self was the guest speaker.

Aundrea encouraged the kids to make smart choices, and keep a good character and positive attitude.

The students were given awards for their hard work.

At the end of the program, the kids walked over a stone block, as a symbol of their continuation to middle school.
