Video: Tupelo Man Faces Aggravated Assault Charges in Shooting

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo man is being charged with aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon.

23 year-old Casey Gill is being charged for his alleged involvement in a shooting near South Green Street Thursday afternoon.

An unidentified man was shot several times with a 40 caliber hand gun.

The victim is being treated for life threatening injuries at North Mississippi Medical Center .

Gill was arrested after he called 911 and said he was the shooter. Officers recovered the weapon used in the shooting at Gill’s residence. His bond is set at $35,000.00.

“I wouldn’t necessarily say he turned himself in but he was very cooperative. We’re not aware of any dope deal, we don’t know, there was some type of transaction involving a phone or something to do with that was where it all started.”

Hill goes before a grand Jury March 10th
