Video: West Point Training Facility Hosts Ribbon Cutting

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A training facility is now open and today leaders were on hand to celebrate.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Tuesday to mark the dedication of the West Point Training Facility.

Housed at the EMCC West Point-Clay County Center, the facility equips students to work in the manufacturing industry, such as Yokohama and Paccar.

Officials with EMCC, Yokohama Tire, city and county leaders were in attendance to celebrate the opening.

A grant was given from Yokohama to renovate the training space.

“Actually our relationship between EMCC is very good, I would like to ask to continue relationship with EMCC,” said Yokohama Tire Manufacturing President, Tadaharu Yamamoto.

The grant given to the center by Yokohama is $250,000.
