Macon Teen Facing Multiple Charges After Failure To Stop

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Macon teenager is facing numerous charges after he tried to avoid a traffic stop.

Jamee Welch, 19, is charged with felony failure to stop, eight counts of disobedience of official traffic control devices, and two speeding charges. 

Welch was arrested in Lowndes County with help from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Highway Patrol, and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office.

Welch was taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail and given a total bond of $6,918.00.

His initial court appearance is set for Monday evening at 6:00 pm.
