Man Arrested After Palmer Home Break-In

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A man is arrested, after a break-in at the Palmer Home for Children.

Columbus police say a man in his 20s broke into the house of a staff member on the Palmer Home property around 5 p.m. Wednesday, and assaulted him.

Police say the accused burglar appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Investigators are not releasing his name at this time.

Both the victim and suspect were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No one else was hurt.
