Video: No Injuries In Vardaman Plant Explosion

VARDAMAN ( WCBI) – Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says no injuries are being reported after an explosion at a Vardaman plant.

Fire crews responded to Furniture Wood Incorporated just after 2:00 today. Pictures from the scene show the damage is centralized in a dust collector on the grounds. Furniture Wood builds frames for area furniture plants. That process creates sawdust which is captured in the bin which exploded. Fire departments from Vardaman, along with those from neighboring Derma and Calhoun City are all helping contain the scene.
