Palmer Home for Children’s Career Day

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Some lucky high schoolers had the opportunity to hear first hand accounts of possible careers fields Tuesday morning.

The Palmer Home for Children held its Career Day for students in its new education center. Several speakers were on hand to discuss necessary job duties as well as the education needed for the careers. Pilot instructor Jason Barlow talked about training pilots for CAFB and what it takes to get started. Other careers discussed included nursing, social work, cosmetology and mortuary science.
