Salvation Army Looking For Last Second Volunteers
COLUMBUS (WCBI) – The Columbus Corps of the Salvation Army is making a late push for bell ringing volunteers.
Commanding Officer Major Alan Phillips says there are 643 hours that have not been covered by volunteers at this time. Phillips says the area community has always stepped up in the past and he is certain the citizens will come through again. Volunteer spots are open in both Columbus and West Point. To sign up you can call the offices at 662 327 5137 Ext. 202. If the spots aren’t filled by volunteers, paid bell ringers are hired and that cuts into the amount of money the Salvation Army raises for the region.
