Video: Students Find Out Financial Reality

LOWNDES COUNTY (WCBI) – Local high school students get a taste of the real world

Junior Auxiliary of Columbus took its “Reality Fair” to West Lowndes High School today.

11th graders made their way through the hands-on, real life simulation.

Students were paid a monthly salary based on their GPA, then visited different booths to pay typical household expenses.

The exercise helps them better understand what it takes to live day to day as an adult.   One student says it’s easy to budget when others are paying the bills but never realized how hard it is to balanced things like rent, car payments and food on a limited budget.

Columbus ChristianAcademy also hosted a Reality Fair today as well
