JASPER, ALa. (WCBI)-A plane crash leaves three teens dead.

Authorities say the three teens took the small plane without permission.

The Piper PA 30 went down in a wooded area less than a mile west of the Walker County Airport in Jasper, Alabama around 10:40 Tuesday (1-1-13) night.

The Walker County Sheriff’s Department is not releasing the names of the victims but have said the passenger’s were young.

The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
