Toy Drive For St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

BRUCE, Miss. (WCBI)- Christmas is almost two months away and a local group is getting a head start by starting their very own toy drive.

The Fine Arts Group of Bruce is collecting toys for children of St. Jude outside the Fred’s in Bruce. Items were sold inside the store and many people participated in the donations.

They collected both toys and cash donations.

Members of the group say that they expect a large turnout of donations.

“Oh the turnout will be awesome. It’s always so good. The people of Bruce are so generous and so many here have close connections so St. Judes and are so willing to give for this project,” says member Sandra Pope.

They will host the drive for the next few weeks and then hand deliver all of the toys to the hospital when they are done with collections.
