UPDATE – Two Dead In Monroe County Plane Crash

MONROE COUNTY (WCBI) – Two people are dead following the morning crash of a plane near the Monroe County airport.

Monroe County EMA Director Bunky Goza confirms the pilot and passenger died in the crash.   WCBI has learned the single engine M20J took off in a low cloud deck at 6:15 this morning destined to Bruce Campbell Field in Madison.   The aircraft went down in a wooded  area near the airport.  WCBI will have the latest on the crash throughout the day.
