OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI)Students gathered at East Oktibbeha Elementary Monday for a literacy promotion, called Reading Railroad.

The Junior Auxiliary of Starkville is hosting a series of these fun events to show how good reading habits help you make the grade. The different booths featured, coloring, book creation, and story time with players from Mississippi State’s baseball team. The MSU Robotics club was also on hand.

The reading railroad is making stops at West Oktibbeha and Sudduth Elementary. West Oktibbeha Elementary will host the event on Aug. 27, and then Sudduth Elementary on Sept. 5 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
