LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lowndes County firefighters are still investigating the cause of the blaze that damaged the Weyerhaeuser plant Friday afternoon.

It took fire crews about two hours to get the blaze under control, which started in a wood chip pile.

Mill manager Kent Walker told WCBI the fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious.

Walker says they’re still cleaning up the damage, and it’s business as usual.
