STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Golden Triangle folks celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day early with an Irish themed lunch at the Three Generation’s Tea Room in Starkville.

While enjoying cabbage, sausage and potatoes, guests learned about Irish history and myths involving their ancestors.

One Irish guest believes celebrating your heritage can shine a light on your own characteristics.

“I think a lot of things like music and culture kind of art you like and that sort of thing goes back to your heritage roots before you were even born. Generations back,” says John O’Bannon.

Saint Patrick’s Day festivities will continue Monday night at Oby’s and Buffalo Wild Wings in Starkville.
