TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-Former Tupelo High School choir director Calvin Ellis and his attorney have asked U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock to step down from presiding over his lawsuit again the school district. Motion was filed late last week. Judge Aycock was an advisor and school board attorney and is a relative by marriage to Beth Stone who offered the motion and voted to fire Ellis while she was a trustee. Stone is also a material witness in the lawsuit. Ellis filed suit last November.
