MISSISSIPPI STATE, MS (WCBI) – Some students at Mississippi State celebrated  Mississippi’s Arbor Day observance by improving the landscape around the Newell Grissom Building on campus. Members of MSU’s Chapter of the Society of American Foresters planted Bald Cypress Trees along the west side of the building.

The National Arbor Day is the last Friday in April. Many states hold their own Arbor Day observances at times considered optimal for tree planting. Mississippi’s Arbor Day is the second Friday in February.
