STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi Beef Council teamed up the with Mississippi State’s football team for a unique event to open the new season.

The Fourth Annual “Beefin’ Up the Bulldogs” event was held on campus at the Seal Jr. Football Complex.

The football team enjoyed a steak dinner with milk and ice cream.

The team got the chance to milk cows and ride a horse.

The players also gained some insight into the state’s cattle industry and learned about the benefits of eating beef.

The event was also sponsored by MSU’s Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences.
