PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – When the temperatures warm up this summer, Pontotoc residents will have a new place to cool off.
Aldermen have hired Engineering Solutions to design a splash pad for the property on North Liberty Street just south of City Hall. The city has already purchased $50,000 worth of fountains and nozzles and has $100,000 left for installing concrete, water, benches and landscaping. The site is currently a parking lot. The park was originally planned for Stafford Park but the city decided the new location would fit well with other downtown improvements already under way.
