STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A freshly renovated Unity Park could soon become a reality.The park’s committee presented a plan to Oktibbeha County supervisors Monday to refresh the park, transforming it into a multi-functional green space.

Supervisors made no motion to provide funding or in-kind services, pending further research into the project.Unity Park currently houses seven plaques, each honoring national civil rights figures. The park committee is looking to renovate the park before a Martin Luther King Day dedication ceremony next year.
