STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Bulldog community says thanks to all of the volunteers who have given time and effort to projects this year.

It was the 3rd annual volunteer of the year ceremony. Drawing a large crowd to MSU’s Colvard Student Union.  Several good Samaritans were honored through their work with both the Maroon Volunteer Center and volunteer Starkville.

“Your volunteers they need to be recognized and so I think a lot of people use their volunteers but they have a hard time recognizing them for their efforts and so we have a lot of people that volunteer you know ten plus hours a week and that’s what they do,” said Program Coordinator Meggan Franks.

This week marks National Volunteer Week.
