Video: Update On Starkville Police Department Renovations

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Many things were discussed at the Mayor and Board of Aldermen Meeting in Starkville on Tuesday night, including an update on the Starkville Police Department renovations.

The $5.4 million dollar project started last month.

The Starkville Police Department Public Information Officer speaks with the Project Superintendent daily about updates.

Weathers Construction reports the renovation is on schedule, and they’re off to a good start.

“We’re ten percent done. The inside demolition is pretty much finished, and they’re working on the walls to get them down to the bare brick, so I feel pretty good about it,” says Starkville Police Chief, Frank Nichols.

Construction work should be complete by May of next year.
