VIDEO: Wags and Tails Dog Competetion

STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)—It was a day designed for dogs; the Starkville Lions Club hosted the Wags and Tails dog competition.

Categories included best costume, best tricks and talents, and a Musical skit. The canines were judged by members of the Starkville Lions Club.

The club was trying to raise awareness about their causes by having a little fun with this particular fundraiser.

“The committee got together and we decided to come up with an idea of a fundraiser that no one has done before that we know of and they came up with hey…everybody loves their pets those that have pets love them so how can we incorporate family and pets to be apart of our first fundraiser,” says Starkville Lion’s Club Member Eileen Carr.

The lions club hopes to make this an annual event.
