WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – With just over a week until the presidential election, students in West Point are practicing their right to vote.

Students at Church Hill and Southside Elementary schools held a mock election Monday (10/29).

The 1st through 4th graders learned about the election process and took their turn checking a ballot with their vote for president.

The youngsters even got to drop their ballot in a real ballot box. The third grade Quest gifted program was in charge of passing out ballots and tallying the votes.
