Video: Woman Caught In Monroe County Drug Bust

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A routine traffic stop in Monroe County ends in a sizable drug bust Tuesday.

Deputies arrested Lisa Rooker and charged her with possession and intent to sell. She’s already facing an indictment from a drug arrest last year.

Deputies found nearly 100 grams of ICE, the pure form of methamphetamine. They also found more than $4,000 worth of heroin along with paraphernalia and cash.

Deputies stopped Rooker along a stretch of Old Highway 25, an area they had been watching closely for drug activity.

“If you’re dealing drugs in Monroe County, we’ll deal with you,” sheriff Cecil Cantrell said. “We’re not going to have this.”

Cantrell said deputies will continue searching the area.
