COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-The Mississippi State amphitheater was full of greek men and women this morning during Sigma Chi Derby Days.
Students came to support the Catch A Dream Foundation during the weeklong event comprising of a basketball tournament, banner competition, and ultimately, a dance off. Over $60,000 is raised each year through the event and all proceeds go to a child with a terminal illness.
“I think the main thing is to make people excited about it. Not only excited but to help realize what it really is about,” said Rob Dambrino, a student at MSU.
This year, Sigma Chi chose to sponsor Lindsey Crawley, a long time victim of a brain tumor.
