Craigslist Computer Crook Captured

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Craigslist posting has led to the capture of a man police say is responsible for the theft of more than $10,000 in computers from Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar says 29 year old Mickeal Meeks took 15 notebook computers from the school back in November.

Some of the computers started surfacing on the popular buy and sell site which helped detectives trace them back to Meeks who was picked up by Saltillo police. Tolar says anyone who thinks they might have unknowingly purchased one of the computers to contact the Sheriffs department or Northeast Mississippi Crimestoppers.
