WEST POINT, Miss. – (WCBI) Whether you got your tattoo as a rite of passage, a symbol of faith, or a reminder of time served in the military, body art is almost always symbolic.

They’re often referred to as ink, but to Robbie Koch they are works of art. As the owner of Coon Tattoos in West Point and an ordained minister, Robbie believe he is using the gifts God gave him to help people express themselves through body art.

Tattooing has also opened the door for Robbie to give back. After beating two world records, Robbie donated thousands of dollars to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Michelle Lynn spent part of her day in the chair, getting a tattoo that included orchids, an infinite sign, and the word faith to represent and honor her mother.

So, while my skin is ink free and will probably stay that way, Robbie designed a fake tattoo just for me. While tattoos aren’t for me, I was inspired by his giving spirit.

For Robbie Koch of Coon’s Tattoos in West Point, helping others through works of art is just one more day in the life.
